Bridges
The sunset colors in Chattanooga, Tennessee were dimmed by the overcast sky, but the lights from other sources made the waters of the Tennessee River shimmer as the sun slipped below the horizon.
It is a challenge to shoot from the Walnut Street Bridge because even though you have your camera locked down, joggers that pass by make the bridge vibrate for what seems like an eternity when time and light is at a premium.

The Swann Covered Bridge is one of three covered bridges I visited in Blount County, Alabama. The Swann, sometimes called the Joy Bridge, is 325 feet long making it the longest covered bridge in Alabama. It spans the Locust Fork of the Black Warrior River

The Horton Mill Bridge is a 220 foot long covered bridge which spans the Calvert Prong of the Little Warrior River in Oneonta, Alabama. Construction began in 1864 but it did not open until 1934.

The Rockdale County Covered Bridge is also called the Haralson Mill Covered Wooden Bridge. The 150 foot long bridge was built in 1997.

The Groveton bridge was built over the Ammonoosue River in 1852 by Captain Charles Richardson and his son. To me it look like a place for a wedding.

The Stark Covered Bridge spans the Upper Ammonoosuc River and dates back to 1857 or 1862. It is one of my favorite bridges in New Hampshire.
The day my brother I chose to shoot the covered bridges of New Hampshire, it rained all day. Not to be deterred, we decided to shoot anyway. It was that day I learned that some of the best pictures are taken in the worst of times. All the rain provided a wet pavement that reflected the Stark Union Church which was built in 1853.
