In the middle of weary people rushing home at the close of day, I saw this happy lady walk through the market carrying a birthday cake. With head high and pep in her step, she was one of the few people in the market with a smile. Other faces were creased with emptiness, weariness, worry, or wonderment. Why was she so happy? Perhaps she was so focused on making someone else happy that she forgot herself.
