Windshield Tours: Hawthorne, FL
Some old buildings in rural areas have a rustic charm. Such is the case with this old farm house in Hawthorne, Florida. The front porch and railing recalls days long past. The aged wood has weathered blazing sun and pelting rain.
I first noticed this building about 15 years ago and wanted to shoot it but traffic nor time would permit. In April I saw the field of yellow and knew this was the time. I drove my truck up on the curb, stopped, rolled the rear passenger window down, leaned my seat back, and shot it through the window.
Steven's Travels and Thoughts 
Steve I loved the old house with that pop of yellow on the massive lawn. The weathered Farmhouse probably still has many stories it must hold. It sheltered a family in both good and bad times. Still standing though pelted by rain and blazing Sun. Reminds me of Our lives. Getting older, GOD continues to shelter us, enduring storms, 🌧 and life’s challenges but GOD still sends beauty even the tiny yellow flowers!! Lynn

Only now viewing…there is a peaceful beauty in the scene that blends oh so well into Sabbath’s beginning.
