We have had lots or rain recently so the rivers are swollen. This really made Freeman’s Mill a nice place to photograph. The water had been much higher, but this afternoon it was down to where the falls are visible and I could climb down to the ground to shoot it.

This old grist mill was moved to Stone Mountain Park from Ellijay, GA in 1965. It is a popular place for visitors to the Park.

The Kymulga Covered Bridge is a pedestrian bridge spanning the Talladega Creek. The bridge was built in 1861. It is made of wood and corrugated sheet metal, and is 105 feet long.
Next door to the Kymulga Bridge is the Kymulga Mill which was built in 1861, three years after the bridge. It is now a working electric powered grist mill with an old country store.
