Isn’t it amazing how many ways water can behave and look! It can quietly reflect, violently thrash rocky shorelines, gurgle while it swirls down the drain, evaporate and reappear as clouds, then drip back down to earth as rain. There are more — fog, mist, ice, steam, drops, etc. How many more can you think of?
Think how many ways we use it. Are there any other elements that are as versatile as water?

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Thomas Chisholm (1866–1960)

The Princess yacht is moored at the dock while the crew readies her for the next day’s voyage. Another small fishing vessel sits nearby as her crew fish at nightfall.

Fort Myers and Sanibel Island Florida have become places I enjoy visiting. The gorgeous Gulf and the serene sunsets that seem to swiftly sink behind the tree lined shores of Fisherman Key or Sanibel Island make each sunrise and sunset meaningful to me.

The dark clouds rolling eastward past the Saint Louis Arch resemble the smoke signals.

Windshield Tours: Hawthorne, FL
Some old buildings in rural areas have a rustic charm. Such is the case with this old farm house in Hawthorne, Florida. The front porch and railing recalls days long past. The aged wood has weathered blazing sun and pelting rain.
I first noticed this building about 15 years ago and wanted to shoot it but traffic nor time would permit. In April I saw the field of yellow and knew this was the time. I drove my truck up on the curb, stopped, rolled the rear passenger window down, leaned my seat back, and shot it through the window.
